How to care for Calvelle’s gold-tone necklaces

The Lucky Heart and the Pavé Heart share a gold-tone finish, but they do not share the same base metal. The Lucky Heart is electroplated copper alloy. The Pavé Heart has a titanium steel core with an electroplated finish. Read the care notes for the individual piece.

Keep the Lucky Heart dry

Treat the Lucky Heart as a dress piece. Take it off before bathing, swimming or exercising. Put it on after perfume and lotion, once those products have dried. Its product page does not promise a waterproof or tarnish-free finish.

A steel core is only part of the story

The Pavé Heart’s core differs from the Lucky Heart’s, but it still has an electroplated outer finish. Do not treat the base-metal description as a guarantee about the coating. Avoid perfume and chemicals, keep the piece dry, and follow its product care instructions.

Wipe gently and store separately

Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the necklace after wearing it. Avoid abrasive polishing products and household cleaning chemicals. Store each piece separately in a dry place so chains are less likely to tangle and pendants do not rub against one another.

Give the magnetic pendant a little room

When changing the Lucky Heart from hearts to clover, handle the pendant itself gently rather than pulling it by the chain. If something feels stuck, stop and contact us instead of forcing it.

The Stack contains both necklaces, so follow the care notes for each one. A bundle does not change their materials.
